86 is a Social Enterprise helping organisations be more sustainable
Discover how our expertise in environmental consultancy and research can help you achieve your goal of being a more sustainable organisation.
We started out helping breweries ditch the carbon
86 was formed by two university students who wanted to help the brewing, events and hospitality industry drop carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gasses from their operations. Taking inspiration from the traditional bar call to ’86’ a item (meaning to run out or no longer have on the menu) we designed and began delivering a Carbon Literacy Training program for breweries, accredited by the Carbon Literacy Project.
Since then, we’ve helped more than 150 learners
pledge to reduce their carbon footprint by 100s of tonnes.
We deliver more than just training
Beyond helping individuals reduce their own carbon footprint, we help organisations do the same.
86 conducts life cycle assessments for internationally renowned breweries and beers, we facilitate materiality surveys and designs bespoke training for organisations of all shapes and sizes.
Our future as a social enterprise
In 2025, we fulfilled a long term objective of becoming a social enterprise, this makes it official that we will put our profits back into helping organsiations operate more sustainably.
